The world lost a conservation champion. Ron Taylor is known as one of the premier researchers and experts on sharks and other marine life in Australia. He and his wife were pioneers in marine conservation and underwater photography and cinematography. Mr. Taylor was originally a world-renown spear fisherman, but realized that he was “killing poor…defenceless marine creatures.” He was devoted to protecting the world’s oceans, and will be missed. Mr. Taylor suffered with leukemia for two years prior to passing away this past Sunday. Read more about it here.
